Shalom my friends.
When it comes to the topic of atonement and forgiveness, there is a enormous difference in opinions between none other than Judaism and Christianity. Today we will explore some of those differences. At this juncture I should mention that unless one is open minded, he or she will always find a way to snake out of accepting God’s honest truth. Again, one must pour the foundation and to let it set prior to putting up the frame work.
Coming beliefs among our Christian community. 1) The Torah, Tanakh is no longer valid. Therefore it is rendered, ‘The old testament.’ 2) Jeremiah 31: 31 – 33 speaks of a new covenant pointing to Yeshua. 3) The virgin birth. 4) God came in the flesh. 5) If one does not accept Yeshua, he or she will not be saved (covered by his blood as the spotless lamb), and therefore they will die and live a life in torment. 6) Claim that Isaiah 52:13 – 53:12 is speaking of Yeshua. 7) Claim that Yeshua will return (second coming) to fulfill all the prophecies that he didn’t fill the first time around. Before I go on I must remind everyone that I myself practiced Messianic Judaism for 3.5 years and before that I spent two years in a Christian church. My parents are both Jewish, however we did not practice a thing. From my experience I can draw you a picture I couldn’t have, if otherwise. My decision to denounce my belief did not come overnight. It happened in stages. Shame on me for not asking questions, shame on me for glossing over the context and not seeing the errors in my accepting what was put before me. Many times I asked myself, “What about our Jewish people who lived prior to the coming of Yeshua, will they simply perish.” Why did I believe? Only God knows. My belief I thought was based on scripture when in actuality it was based on the foundation of a two thousand year old lie. Please don’t think I’m persecuting Yeshua, because I’m not. However if we were taught Torah and the prophets from a young age, instead of John 3:16 we would avoid such beliefs. The term, ‘Old testament’ is a dirty word. The word old brings to mind, out dated and no longer in affect. In my ears it sounds like blasphemy. How is it that the glass is half full and at the same time half empty. If one believes that the Tanakh was done away with, why quote anything out of it? Why draw on its scriptures during tithes and offering messages. Judaism is the foundation of the world, Israel is to be alight to the nations. The church has not replaced the Hebrew people, replacement theology is an abomination. One is to draw into the olive tree, not cut itself off. To be cut off is to perish. We will start with the book of Ezekiel chapter eighteen, the entire chapter is dedicated to the subject of sin and its rightful owner. Ezekiel 18: 1 – 32 – The word of HASHEM came to me, saying: Why do you relate this parable upon the land of Israel, saying, ‘The fathers eat sour grapes, but the teeth of the sons are set on edge! As I live – the word of the Lord HASHEM/ELOHIM – [I swear] that there will no longer be anyone among you who uses this parable in Israel. Behold all souls are Mine; like the soul of the father, so the soul of the son, they are Mine. The soul that sins – it shall die. If a man is righteous and practices justice and righteousness: he does not partake [of idolatrous sacrifices} upon the mountains; does not lift his eyes towards the idols of the House of Israel; does not defile his neighbor's wife nor approach an impure woman; does not oppress any man; returns a collateral for a debt; does not rob any loot; gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothing; does not give loans with usury nor take interest; withholds his hand from corruption; executes true justice between man and man; goes according to My decrees and observes My ordinances to practice truth - he is a righteous man; he shall surely live - the word of the Lord, HASHEM/ELOHIM. ' If he begets a violent son, who sheds blood, who does any of these [sins[ to [his] brother, who does not do all these [good deeds]: for he even partakes [of idolatrous sacrifices] upon the mountains; defiles his neighbor’s wife; oppresses the poor and the needy; robs loot; does not return collateral; lifts his eyes towards the idols; commits abomination; gives loans with [usury] and takes interest – should he live? He has committed all these abominations; he shall surely die and his blood will be upon himself. Then if he begets a son who sees all the sins of his father that he had done; he sees, but does not do [acts] like them; He does not partake [of idolatrous sacrifices] upon the mountains; does not lift his eyes towards the idols of the house of Israel; does not defile his neighbors wife; does not oppress any man; does not keep collateral; does not rob any loot; gives his bread to the poor and covers the naked with clothing; withholds his hand from [harming] the poor; does not take usury or interest; obeys My ordinances and follows My decrees – he shall not die for his father’s iniquity; he shall surely live. His father, because he has cruelly oppressed [others], has robed loot from [his] brother and did that which is not good among his people – behold, he died for his sin. Yet you say, ‘Why did the son not bear the iniquity of the father? But the son performed justice and righteousness, and observed all Mu decrees and performed them; he shall surely live! The soul that sins, it shall die! A son shall not bear the iniquity of [his] father and a father shall not bear the iniquity of [his] son; the righteousness of the righteous person shall be upon him and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. As for the wicked man, if he repents from all the sins he committed, and He observes all My decrees and practices justice and righteousness, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he committed will not be remembered against him; he shall live because of the righteousness that he did. Do I desire at all the death of the wicked man? – the word of the Lord HASHEM/ELOHIM. Is it not rather his return from his ways, that he might live? And when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and practices corruption, shall he not do like all the abominations that the wicked man did, and live? All his righteousness that he had done will not be remembered because of the treachery with which he betrayed and because of his sin that he sinned. Because of them, he shall die! And if you should say, ‘The way of my Lord is not proper’ – hear now, O House of Israel! Is My way not proper? Surely it is your ways that are not proper! When the righteous man turns away from his righteousness and practices corruption, he shall die for them; for the corruption that he practiced he shall die. And if the wicked man turns away from all his wickedness that he did and performs justice and righteousness, he will cause his soul to live. Because he contemplated and repented from all his transgressions that he did he shall live; he shall not die. Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of my Lord is not proper,’ Are My ways not proper, O House of Israel? Surely it is your ways that are not proper! Therefore I will judge you, each man according to his ways, O House of Israel – the word of the Lord HASHEM/ELOHIM. Return and bring [others] back from all your transgressions, so that they not be for you an obstacle of iniquity. Cast off from upon yourselves all your transgressions through which you have transgressed, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why should you die – the word of the Lord HASHEM/ELOHIM. Turn [yourselves] back and live!
You just read the entire chapter of Ezekiel 18; did you come across anywhere that states HASHEM desires the shedding of blood. Not even of the wicked! Can it be anymore clearer then it is? We have the ability to repent and live. It is in our power to do the right thing. Yeshua’s blood cannot atone for your transgressions or mine. The church has taught that since we can not keep the commandments of God perfectly, He did away with them. God says we are to keep His commands for all generations. What part of all do they not understand!
Hundreds of millions of dollars are used each and every year in order to convert our Jewish people. They are dead set on believing if they could only save all the Jews, it would usher in his second coming. Meanwhile our Jewish people are looked upon as blind to the good news. They have a veil over their eyes until a set time when God will open up their eyes and look upon whom they have pierced. Lies, all lies!
How is it possible that the bible scholars leading two billion or so Christians not see the writing on the wall. Look I myself fell victim, so I’m wanting to help others see the light. Let us reflect for a moment. Is it possible that God Himself can be tempted? No. Can God worship Himself? No. Yet so many believe out of faith that God impregnated Mary and came in the flesh, walked upon the face of the earth and preached that unless you followed him you would have no salvation.
A rocket scientist is not needed to scramble any secret code concerning obtaining life from the dead. We are to acknowledge our wrong doing and repent. HASHEM says we return to Him, He will return to us. Isaiah 43: 11 – 13 – I, only I, am HASHEM, and there is no deliverer aside from Me. I have foretold and brought salvation and informed you; there was no strange [god] in your midst. You are my witnesses – the word of HASHEM – and I am God. Even before there was a day, I was He, and there is none who can save from My hand; when I act, who can reverse it?
Isaiah 45: 18 – 25 - For thus said HASHEM, Creator of the heavens; He is the God, the One Who fashioned the earth and its Maker; He established it; He did not create it for emptiness; He fashioned it to be inhabited: I am HASHEM and there is no other. I did not speak in secrecy, some place in a land of darkness; I did not tell the descendants of Jacob to seek Me for nothing; I am HASHEM Who speaks righteousness, Who declares upright things. Gather yourselves, come and approach together, O survivors of the nations, who do not know, who carry about the wood of their graven image, and pray to a god who cannot save. Proclaim and approach ; even let [your leaders] take counsel together: who let this be heard from aforetimes, or related it from of old? Is it not I, HASHEM? There is no other God besides Me and no savior other than Me. Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is no other. I swear by Myself, righteousness has gone forth from My mouth, a word that will not be rescinded: that to Me shall every knee kneel and every tongue swear. — Only in HASHEM, Who spoke to me, is there righteousness and strength; all those anger Him will come to Him and be ashamed. All the seed of Israel will be vindicated and will glory in HASHEM.
THIS STUDY WILL BE CONTINUED. PLEASE GO AND READ FOR YOURSELF THESE VERY IMPORTANT THINGS.
SHALOM
it isn’t opinion it’s sin of unbelief!The VAR,is God’s
word right? Then there is no difference!
Jer 31 does not mention any demi god as part of the new covenant.
Also if one is to study Leviticus you would clearly understand about sacrifices and if you compare with jc’s apparent sacrifice; you will find that it is nonsensical and forbidden. The whole paschal lamb theory is wrong vs Torah. The actual human sacrifice is wrong vs Torah.
I almost turned aside from Torah because of xtianity and why the wicked prosper until I studied nt vs Torah and chastisement (been going on for years) but I know why and I know Torah is the way (direction).
It is frustrating that people do not see this but I guess HASHEM knows all our hearts and thankfully HE decided to get my attention. What is more I understand the Psalms better than I ever did. I have a better understanding of Torah and I intend to write a thesis on the Psalms in hope it will help people to repent (well I think I should but HASHEM knows best) and I believe I could leave any xtian speechless with my undeniable proof that xtianity is wrong. Do not want to be haughty I am just happy in my suffering that I know what I know.
Shalom
I am a Messianic Jew and I believe in the Tanakh. Your frustrations seem founded on falicy about the church that the “Old Testament” isn’t necessary. It is. And any churhc that professes Christ and denys the very scriptures that proclaim his truth are in error. I repent on there behalf.
Ezek 18
“And if the wicked man turns away from all his wickedness that he did and performs justice and righteousness, he will cause his soul to live. Because he contemplated and repented from all his transgressions that he did he shall live; he shall not die.”
It does say that he must perform acts of “justice and righetousness.”
Exodus 30:10
10 Once a year Aaron shall make atonement on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering for the generations to come. It is most holy to the LORD.”
The sin offereing on Yom Kippur seems very Holy and Righteous to G-d. But the ideas of Rabinnic Judaism say that blood isn’t necessary for the remission of sin but there is no decree of this anywhere in the Tanakh.
Leviticus 4
The Sin Offering
1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘When anyone sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD’s commands-
3 ” ‘If the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the LORD a young bull without defect as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.
Leviticus 4
13 ” ‘If the whole Israelite community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD’s commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, they are guilty. 14 When they become aware of the sin they committed, the assembly must bring a young bull as a sin offering and present it before the Tent of Meeting.
Leviticus 5
5 ” ‘When anyone is guilty in any of these ways, he must confess in what way he has sinned 6 and, as a penalty for the sin he has committed, he must bring to the LORD a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin.
Leviticus 6
1 The LORD said to Moses: 2 “If anyone sins and is unfaithful to the LORD by deceiving his neighbor about something entrusted to him or left in his care or stolen, or if he cheats him, 3 or if he finds lost property and lies about it, or if he swears falsely, or if he commits any such sin that people may do- 4 when he thus sins and becomes guilty, he must return what he has stolen or taken by extortion, or what was entrusted to him, or the lost property he found, 5 or whatever it was he swore falsely about. He must make restitution in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day he presents his guilt offering. 6 And as a penalty he must bring to the priest, that is, to the LORD, his guilt offering, a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value. 7 In this way the priest will make atonement for him before the LORD, and he will be forgiven for any of these things he did that made him guilty.”
Sin is atoned for by blood. Blood must be shed as a rightous act to HaShem.
Isaiah 53 10-11 (JPS)
But the Lord chose to crush him by dis-ease, That if he made himself on offereing for guilt, He might see offspring and have long life, And thatthrough him the Lord’s purpose might prosper. Out of his anguish heshall see it; He shall enjoy it to the full through his devotion.
“My righteous servant makes the many righteous, it is their punishment that he bears;”
I leave you with this promise.
Hosea 3
4 For the Israelites will live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ephod or idol. 5 Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days.
