Good morning world.
Often I wonder how it’s possible that people regardless of society can be so indifferent towards one another. Today so many of us have widened that gap of separation. Visit your local coffee shop and see for yourself how many sit by themselves, eyes fixed on the screen of their laptop. Rather texting, twittering or sending email we have become informal.
Yes if not for the advancement of technology I wouldn’t be able to share this with you. I must ask you, Where does the human-machine relationship draw the line? The information age has grown at enormous leaps and bounds, and because of it the poisoning that flows in the veins of many has escalated. Recently I signed up with Twitter hoping to gain followers. Hoping to find like-minded individuals who want to tackle important issues. After all, don’t we have something to say?
My concern is this. How much time and effort do I place into such a social network. Could my time and energy be used better some where else, like at a coffee shop discussion that has no place for laptops and texting fingertips.
Back to my thoughts on separation. As with money, there are the haves and the have-nots. So it is with technology networks. As a people we previously endured centuries without it. While we had newspapers and other periodicals, we also had one another. We acknowledged our neighbors, our family and what was happening three feet before us.
Feel free to share your thoughts.
